X-Trainer - does that mean it's for working out? Does that make it better than other models? Hmmm...
The MuVo2 X-Trainer is a 512MB MP3 player by Creative Labs. It's a nice MP3 player, but the capacity is a little low.
Creative Labs:
Creative Labs is a large electronics corporation. They make everything from speakers, web cams, and CD-R drives to MP3 players. Creative is one of the worldwide leaders in accessories for the personal computer. So you know when you get Creative Labs...you're getting a good product. You can visit their website and shop for products.

MuVo2 X-Trainer:
Along with it's drag-n-drop simplicity, the X-Trainer will appeal to a lot of athletes because it's compact, stylish, and offers 8 hours of MP3 playback! Of course, it's skip-free so even running and mountain biking won't interrupt your music. 512MB of memory won't handle your music collection, but it should suffice for most uses. If you need more capacity there are the 1GB and 4GB versions available.
The MuVo2 uses a flash memory system to reduce the overall size. You can customize the equalizer or use one of the 4 equilizer presets. Output checks in at 15mW/channel and the Signal-To-Noise Ratio is 98dB which ranks it right up there with quality stereo systems! To accomodate your workouts the X-Trainer comes with an armband/belt clip that makes it easy to attach and keeps it out of the way. The controls are simple too so you'll have no problem making adjustments while you're on the go.
The battery is lithium-ion and can last up to 16 hours with one charge! You'll hardly need to worry about battery replacement as it only needs to be replaced about once every 2-4 years!
The thing about the X-Trainer, like most MP3 players, is that you can store more than just audio files. You can also store pictures, video clips, documents, and presentations. This makes an MP3 player very versatile.

Overall:
The X-Trainer is pretty good as a whole. It's nice to have USB 2.0 transfer ability. But the low capacity isn't that great, that's a major deficiency. But then again, it makes it more affordable for some people. The MuVo2 X-Trainer runs about $250. It's compact though, about the size of a Sony MD Player. 512MB will hold about 8 hours of MP3s (128kbps). That's enough to last most of a day skiing or snowboarding. This is a very durable MP3 player - designed to withstand the vigors of athletics.
It's worth checking out if you're on a budget or need a really small unit.
