Cons: Difficult for users accustomed to a PC, sometimes crashes.
The Bottom Line: Since Macs are the industry standard, the G4 proves to be tops in that field.

The most striking feature of the Mac G4 is, of course, it's great-looking appearance. Macs are unlike any PC out there and their see-through look has attracted many a PC user. But besides its attractive appeal, Macs are also the industry standard for graphic design and illustration. This is why I became acquainted with the machine. As an avid fan of PCs, I was startled when I discovered that I had to use Macs for my graphic design courses in college. I have heard horror stories from other PC users but wonders about the speed and performance of these cute little machines. As far as graphic designing goes, these machines are definitely equipped with enough memory to run heavy programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and 3D Studio at once and at very high speeds. The performance of the monitor is also an added bonus, allowing for the clearest picture I have ever experienced in a computer, Mac or PC.
The Mac G4's ability to smoothly and quickly run large programs is a wonderful aspect of the machine but, as always in the computer world, nothing is perfect. One flaw which I (as well as other users) have found in the G4 is it's constant "crashing" or "booting" which, naturally, occurs while doing memory-eating tasks. This is a huge problem for all unsaved information is automatically lost when one has to reboot the computer.
All in all, the Mac G4 is a great little computer namely because it's the latest in the graphic design world's industry standard. It is also a new computer so glitches can be common. Oh, and it doesn't look bad either!
