My How Times Have Changed!
When I was 19 and newly married, I was completely inept at keeping house. My house was dirty and gross. It wasnt that I didnt know how to clean, I just didnt care. The thing is, my husband did carea lot!
Looking back I can see how nine years has changed me. Not only is my house much cleaner now, but having a clean house has actually become important to me.
I used to own a very limited selection of cleaning products, figuring one was as good as the next and not willing to spend much money on this drudgery. Now, I have (or at least it seems so) a product for every job and I enjoy buying new tools and products to do the job better and faster.
Orange Glo International
My introduction to the Orange Glo International line of cleaning products came in the form of Kaboom! Porcelain, Tile, and Grout Restorer. I had heard that buzz about this wonder product in a Yahoo group I am a member of.
Id never bought an As Seen on TV product before, Im not a big fan of infomercials or the products they sell. Still, when my friends raved about Kaboom! Porcelain, Tile, and Grout Restorer and told me about how wonderfully it worked I was convinced and decided to buy a bottle at Wal-Mart. I am SO happy that I got over that prejudice.
Orange Glo International is behind such great products as Kaboom! Porcelain, Tile, and Grout Restorer, Orange Glo Wood Cleaner & Polish, and OxiClean.
Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser
In cleaning my kitchen, I noticed that my usual cleaner did a fair job but seemed to have trouble with grease. I switched to Formula 409, which did better. I tried Formula 409's citrus cleaner and found that it worked even better. Soon I was sold on citrus cleaners.
Being the cheapskate that I am I generally contented myself with the purchase of generic brand, and even $1 store brands of citrus cleanersboth of which worked better than most cleaners.
One day in Wal-Mart (a store I find myself spending entirely too much time in) I was picking up a bottle of Kaboom! Porcelain, Tile, and Grout Restorer when I saw a bottle of orange cleaner near it. From the bottle designs I could tell they were from the same company, which I confirmed by reading the label. Knowing how much I loved Kaboom! Porcelain, Tile, and Grout Restorer, I knew I had to give Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser a try.
Indicated Uses
Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser is labeled for use on appliances, counters, cabinets, walls, doors, bathrooms, ceramic tile, tubs, sinks, patio furniture, and more.
I have personally used Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser on my kitchen stove, counters, and the wall next to my kitchen only because I have other products I prefer for other surfaces in my home.
Directions
I have a 22 oz. spray bottle of Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser that comes ready to use with no dilution necessary.
To use Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser you simply spray it on the area that needs cleaning and wipe clean. If you have baked-on grease or heavy soap scum its recommended that you let the product soak for several minutes.
Basically, use of Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser is a no-brainer.
So How Does It Work?
I have, as I mentioned above, used Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser only in my kitchen for degreasing purposes, and I am amazed when how well it works.
Soiled areas like splattered grease on a range top, greased burned onto the bottom of a pan, and even dried foods (like splattered spaghetti sauce thats dried) come clean with ease. Simple splattered grease is taken care of with a spray and immediate wipeno grease left, no streaks! Burned grease and dried foods are a bit tougher, they have to be allowed a few moments to soak.
The toughest test of Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser that Ive made to date is the wall in my kitchen. I recently moved into a 1968 mobile home that had been inhabited its entire life by an elderly gentleman who passed away last spring at the age of almost 90. Lets just say cleaning was not his forte, and after his wife passed away nearly 20 years ago very little cleaning was done. The wall next to the range was gross, caked with years of grease collected and not cleaned.
I decided to try the spray and immediate wipe. That made no dent in this grease! Next I tried spraying and allowing it to soak for a while. Not much improvement. As a last resort I sprayed on a very liberal coat of Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser, waited several minutes, and then scoured the wall using a gentle scouring pad (think Teflon-safe). Finally, the nasty grease on my kitchen wall was gone. I had tried this same process with another cleaner, Fantastik, with no results at all.
Price
Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser is moderately priced. It is available at Wal-Mart for just over $3 per 22-oz. bottle, and online for similar prices.
Scent
I dont want to neglect to mention the delectable scent of Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser. When you use this product its like youve peeled a fresh, ripe orange (without the nasty stuff under your fingernails). Its easily noticed without being overpoweringly offensive.
My Recommendation
I love the way Orange Clean Tough Acting Degreaser works on grease and other food products. I cannot imagine my kitchen without it, and I would HIGHLY recommend that you add it to your personal cleaning arsenal.
