Pros: Intuitive interface, great portability, packed with features
Cons: Buggy firmware, occasionally sticky controls, problems with file transfers
The Bottom Line: If you don't need Gbs of storage (you can always upgrade with an SDcard), its many features outweigh some flaws in quality. Be prepared to spend $ on batteries!

| dsshulman's Full Review: Mpio FL100 (128MB) MP3 Player |
I've had the player for 2 months now, and enjoyed it tremendously. The interface is intuitive, as is the included file transfer software. It's small and light enough to fit very comfortably in a shirt pocket, great for commuting, and I like the sound quality of the included headphones.
Other features:
-The FM radio scans and stores stations between 76.0 MHz and 108.0 MHz, below typical frequency, letting you hear new stations. I was able to pick up a crystal clear audio feed of our local Fox TV station on 81.8, for instance.
-Recording capacity, at lower audio quality settings, is up to 9 hours!
-Exterior is highly polished, and makes a pretty good mirror.
That said, it's been acting buggy recently. Sometimes the "key lock" feature (like on a cell phone) won't turn off, and the record button always has to be pressed several times to work. The firmware upgrade procedure on the DigitalWay site was poorly documented, and the upgrade required several difficult reinstalls.
Other disappointments:
- You can't upload mp3s from the player to a computer! They're "protected" files. You can get around this by putting them in a .zip file, but still...
- The internal files take up between 2-6Mbs.
- It stores info in 128k blocks, so if you want to store a lot of small files, forget it.
- Yes, some computers freeze when trying to upload files to it.
