Bring It Back! (Reply to this comment)
by pbroggi
Well, I would have to say that while Caffrey's is somewhat of an aquired taste for the average beer drinker, it is very near addictive when you warm up to it (hence my review after about 7 years without one). Why so long? Well, Caffrey's is no longer available in the US since Coors bought the distribution rights and pulled it. Criminal! Are you will me? Go to coors.com and let them know.
By the way, I'm talking strictly from tap; that nitro-canned stuff (Caffrey's, Guiness, or otherwise) has got to be the worst stuff I've ever tasted!

some Caffrey's on draft last year at a club in England. I thought it was pretty good. "A good pint," as they say.

Caffrey's Irish Ale (Reply to this comment)

I also wrote a review of this beer (in the "favorite hard to find beers" section) and I feel the same way you do. I can't say that Caffrey's is bad, because it is smooth, creamy, and drinkable. But it doesn't have enough body to be rated as a great beer. It's very acceptable, though, and better than many other mass- produced products.

A good review (Reply to this comment)

Good review on a beer that does little for me. Personally I'm against nitro-pour devices for anything but Irish stouts - I find they kill flavour.
Good review though.
