Let me break it down for you. The ipod is the most useful and most convenient electronic device you will ever use. I know it sounds somewhat lazy, but i find it a pain to keep switching cd's if i want to listen to different songs. So i thought I would save up for an ipod. Although the pricetag might make you think twice, believe me it is well worth the money. Holds about 5000 songs depending on the lengths of the songs you put on it. Lasts about 8-10 hours on a full battery charge. (battery is rechargeable). The battery having to be recharged is sometimes a pain because if you forget your charger and you go on a trip, you are in trouble, but if one of your buddies has an ipod you can hook it up to his charger which makes things fairly simple. This also comes with an ac adapter so you don't have to waste battery while in the car. The only letdown with this product is that for windows it comes with musicmatch jukebox which is possibly the worst music software i have ever had experience with. I downloaded itunes which is much easier to use. I carry my ipod with me everywhere so if you can't live without your music than definitely buy an ipod.
