Pros: Sharp picture and great brightness. Samsung makes their own panels.
Cons: None so far.
The Bottom Line: I would buy it again and recommend Samsung and E-Buyer.

I read lots of reviews and looked at many monitors at retail stores. The resolution and sharpness of the flat panels are so much better than the CRTs. The Samsung monitors looked the best to me and had good reviews. I wanted a 19" with DVI input so I decided on the Syncmaster 191T . I took a chance and ordered it on line from E-Buyer. It was sent by UPS and arrived in a few days at my home in So. Calif. I spent a lot of time with the settings. The resolution works best at 1280 X 1024 which they call native resolution. I use a lower resolution only when the print or window is to small. I set the dpi in Display Properties\Settings\Advanced to 120. Also in display Propertys\Appearance Tab\Effects was set to clear type. This is something that Mircosoft added in Windows XP to improve the text viewing on flat panel displays. It made a big difference. When using Microsoft Explorer select the larger text size under view\text size. I am not using the software that came with it for auto adjustments or rotating the display for portrait mode. I did install the drivers from the CD. I am using a 60 hz refresh rate. My choices are 60 or 70. I was using 70 but I read that flicker is not a problem with flat panels and the manual on the CD indicates the optimum is 1280 x 1024 @ 60hz. I have had it two weeks and do not expect any problems. I like the 3yr warranty that Samsung provides.
