Old Monitor, New Mac?

t's not something every user needs - Apple provides a DVI-to-VGA adapter in the box with every Macintosh that has DVI output for a couple of years, now.
What if you have a monitor that uses the DVI connector, and you'd still like to use the other video output (the ADC port) to run a VGA-connected monitor? Dr. Bott to the rescue!
The overmolded connectors and rather thick cable with extra shielding give me some comfort knowing that I won't be introducing much interference to the signal.
One problem I've noticed with the connector is a slight bend in the ADC connector where the cable joins it - and it bends upward as if the designer expected the computer to sit on a floor and run the cable up to a desk. Since my Apple Dual G5 sits on the desk, this seems to put extra strain on the connector.
Other than that, the connector does exactly what I needed it to do - allow me to plug an older VGA monitor into the ADC port, so I could plug my new Apple 20" LCD into the DVI port that the old monitor used to plug into.
