Pros: compact, ease of use, good functionality, great sound quality, battery life, easy file transfer
Cons: overpriced, poor electronics, not durable, does not work in the cold.
The Bottom Line: Great sound quality and good for working out where it's warm, but the shoddy hardware is not worth the money since it's flimsy and doesn't work in the cold.

| hotmax's Full Review: Creative Labs Nomad MuVo NX 256MB MP3 Player |
This is a great little mp3 player, but it really was a waste of money. I purchased it even though a little overpriced, due to its great sound quality, design, and functionality. However it only lasted about a month, where it began to cut out the sound for no apparent reason and eventually stop working altogether.
When I sent it out for RMA, I promptly received a new replacement included with all the original accessories. My original gripe with it still existed - this unit does not function under any ambient temperatures below around 45 degrees. This I do not consider extreme temperatures - any brisk weather outdoors and the unit will stop sound output, but continue to run the file. I originally thought this was part of the defect, but after seeing the same problem with the new one, I'll have to attribute it to poor quality electronics. The only way to keep it working would be to carry it somewhere warm, like an inside pocket close to the body. Otherwise you have to keep resetting the unit, where it will play for maybe 30 seconds, and it will cut out again due to the cold air.
This is not normal for a quality solid state memory device, or any one for that matter. I have used other, much cheaper memory players that worked fine under below freezing temperatures. Since this player does not work outside for a good part of the year - when you need it most, like walking around outside... this is not worth the money.
