Pros: We got smart.
Cons: Others have yet to see "the truth".
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for drop tests, cruise missile targeting, or giving it to your kid for robot suit parts.

| culthero's Full Review: Abit BH6 |
My company had a most unfortunate experience from the ABIT BH6 motherboard. Initial problems arose when we had isolated two problems: Faulty mouse port and several faults with the IDE controllers. After careful troubleshooting of swapping mice, drives, cables and such, we isolated it down to the board being the problem. This is even after taking the board out and placing it into another case.
We sent the board in to ABIT, where they told us that they would either FIX or REPLACE the board, at no charge to us, since the board was still under warranty.
A few weeks later (they take their time) we got the board back, but with no real explanation as to what happened, what action was taken to correct the problem, nothing. When I put the board into ANOTHER pc, attached were OTHER cables, mouse, drive, THE SAME symptoms appeared, as if nothing was done to fix the problem! I promptly called ABIT and was assured that the board was SWAPPED for another board. Unfortunately for ABIT, I had recorded the serial #. Turns out the board's serial # was the same as the one I had sent them the month before! Not good! But it gets better!
After talking with them on the phone they decided to send me a brand new board. What do you think happened? Different problems! At that point we decided not to embarrass ABIT any longer (or waste everyone's time) as they were convinced that they were taking good care of us. We finally opted for an INTEL board, a bit more expensive but it was well worth avoiding the hassles of ABIT.
We are in process of finding more glitches with older boards that share the name "ABIT". We are steering clear of that name from now on.
PS - since we were throwing out the ABIT boards, my son now uses one of them for a robot costume he built from electronic scrap items.
