Sears customer service is top-notch!

In November 2004, I ordered a fake Christmas tree from sears.com. The delivery, which should have been in 4-6 business days, took three weeks to get to me and just barely made it in time for Christmas. This was due to a third-party freight company, Demar Logistics, who Sears selected to ship the tree. Demar was delayed on all of their deliveries. Each time I tried to get information from them, their customer service was terrible and their website was literally completely unusable. Throughout this process, I had many communications with Sears.com customer service. Each time I called them, they were very courteous in trying to help me figure out what was going on.
I still had many problems with the freight company. In fact, this review formerly was a complaint about Sears working with third-party freight companies. However, I was recently very impressed when a Sears customer service representative contacted me because of the review and went out of his way to make things right and make sure that I was happy with the resolution.
So, despite the problems I had, I have changed this review to a praising of Sears customer service and their proactiveness in this matter. Thanks Brian B from Sears!
