My Experience
I hate dirty dishes. Fortunately, Palmolive has always helped me clean dishes quickly with its touch grease fighting abilities.
Palmolive Ultra Antibacterial Liquid Dish Soap is overkill. There is no need for such a strong product. The orange dish soap need not be anti-bacterial. It just needs to clean dishes! I was actually shocked to see that it says "Palmolive Antibacterial Hand Soap" on the packaging. I would never use this product specifically for washing my hands for two reasons: 1) its main purpose is to wash dishes and 2) its antibacterial. There is no need for the antibacterial properties in a dish soap.
How do I use Palmolive Ultra Antibacterial Liquid Dish Soap? I like to put some of the dish soap onto a sponge and then scrub the dirty dishes. I rarely fill up the sink with warm, soapy water to wash dishes. If there are more dishes that need to be washed, I will fill up a small pot or bowl with warm/hot water and put a few drops of the dish soap in the bowl. The dish soap suds up very quickly and is easily dispensed from the plastic container.
Does the Palmolive actually soften my hands while I do dishes? Not really. My hands become drier as I wash dishes as I tend to use warm to hot water to wash my dishes. There is no significant difference in the softness of my hands after using Palmolive.
How does Palmolive Ultra Antibacterial Liquid Dish Soap perform? Splendid. It cuts grease out very quickly. If I have baked on mess in a pan, a few drops of the liquid dish soap and some hot water will do the trick to release the baked on mess after a few minutes of soaking. I do like how the dish soap leaves the dishes spotless and very clean. The spotlessness and the cleanliness are similar to the non-antibacterial version of the Palmolive dish soap (the original green one). I love the clean, streak-free dishes that result from using Palmolive dish soap.
Will I purchase Palmolive Ultra Antibacterial Liquid Dish Soap? No! I did not purchase this 38 fluid ounce of antibacterial dish soap and I will not be purchasing one in the future. The antibacterial craze must stop! Will I stay with Palmolive? Yes, the original or the scented (non-antibacterial) Palmolive dish soaps!
