Pros: I ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO PRO STATEMENTS FOR ALLTEL. HOW CAN THIS BE REQUIRED??? BEATS ME!
Cons: ALLTEL...WELCOME TO YOUR NIGHTMARE...billing is twice what they quote-good luck!
The Bottom Line: DO NOT RECOMMEND. CROOKS. NOT AS PROMISED ON CHARGES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A HASSLE, HAVE TO REVIEW BILL EACH MONTH AND CALL TO GET CHARGES REMOVED (IF THEY WILL).

| kcarstensen's Full Review: General Reviews of Alltel Customer Service |
I had CellOne phones for a few years, very little problems but interference at our home address. My daughter talked me into changing to Alltel...3 phones, and a total NIGHTMARE. It was to be $39.95 $19.95 for each additional phone. We had road service on one, and product guard on one, which went from "covering your phone" to $50 when we had to replace one that was lost. Our bill which was quoted as $89.95 plus road service, has never been under $130 per month, sometimes more; miscellaneous charges, who knows what they are, and taxes that don't exist, have to call them every month to try and get amounts fixed for things we are charged for we didn't order or use...and GOD help you if you go over on minutes on a phone, they all go over, all free minutes cancel out on all phones and the price sky rockets. I have never seen such a company in business. I have the payments withdrawn automatically..mistake, they have turned off our service 3x because they didn't post the amount they withdrew, it was a war to get it fixed, an hour usually on the phone to take care of the problem, getting sent from one person to another...and try to get a credit if you aren't receiving service. I must say I am thankfully at the end of my contract. They wouldn't be in business if they didn't have their "contract" to bind you to them; am counting the days, wondering if I will get my credit..and now after reading these reviews am wondering if the billing or the withdrawals from my account will end. I am going to try T-mobile as consumer reports recommends them and friends do that have it. I am researching trustworthy service. Let me know if there is such a thing. OH..and if you need a new phone, mine hasn't worked since a month after I got the service, drops calls, won't answer, etc. and I won't pay them for a new one..(and don't 'damage' it!) --you have to pay full price!! CellOne customer service replaced phones for 99 cents if there was a problem during the contract. We are one month away from getting rid of the two year contract we had to take not to pay full price for all the phones on a one year contract...I shall open champagne and dump it on their phones and celebrate! I am a customer service representative for a good company, have been in customer service for over 25 years and cannot believe Alltel can stay in business without customer satisfaction. I am writing the FCC and Attorney General's office about them. Hopefully somebody will care. Ever notice the lawsuits on Alltel on consumer fraud? I am shocked they have any positive reviews on this site and am wondering-like another person here-if they are employees, friends of someone there, or just darn lucky. I warn everyone.
