Pros: New scent every 30 minutes, disks easily refillable if you choose to do so
Cons: Size, cost
The Bottom Line: Whether or not you choose to refill the cartridges as I described, this is definitely the best air freshener if you don't mind the extra size and cost.

| sachacrompton's Full Review: Bionaire Febreze Scentstories BSSP101-U |
I had been considering buying this for about 5 months and after reading a few reviews on here I decided to get it at the grocery store today.
I don't know if it's an updated model, but the power adapter wasn't that big and very light, far from the 2 pounds I've read on here. The track number view window also seems to be magnified, something I believe I read should be added to a future model, perhaps this is a new revision.
As I had read, the included disk isn't very nice, and unfortunately there were no disks at all at the store I bought it from. Since I already had over 15 bottles of scented oil, and am a big fan of refilling inkjet printers (you can see where I'm going here), I made a little test: I put gelatin in a very small container and added oil, and it became a gel that doesn't leak when tilted, so I opened the several clips holding the ScentStories cartridge closed with a small screw driver, emptied the original gels out of all 5 compartments, filled each about 1/2 full of gelatin powder and created my own custom disks with scents: tropical rain, jasmine, banana, lime, pina colada. These scents come from SaveOnScents.com which have an amazing choice of over NINE HUNDRED scents to choose from!
Refilling a disk like this ends up costing probably less than $0.25, or about 30 times cheaper than purchasing the original disks, and it's very easy to do, I would highly recommend trying this, it's working extremely well for me and see no reason to pay Febreeze 30 times more (other than to get more cartridges to refill if I want to have a few custom disks at once) for their choices of scent when I can make my own.
Needless to say, my custom disk smells miles better than the included "Exploring a toilet disinfectant factory" (or "Exploring a mountain trail" as they call it).
I'm sure other disks are much better than the included one and I have ordered two "Tropical Island" disks since I believe it will be my favorite of the ones offered by Febreeze.
To get to the machine itself, although large for an air freshener, it is very well made and offers 3 intensity levels, a Play/Next button that turns the machine on and changes tracks if it is already on. A stop button allows you to stop the machine at any time, which sometimes take a minute or so while it cools down the heating element, and returns the disk to the "start" position which seals the compartments closed to keep the freshness. The Eject/Open button can only be pressed when the disc is in the "start" position, this prevents it from being ejected with a scent compartment still exposed to air and makes sure the disk will start in track 1 on its next use. A small window on the right side allows you to see the number of the currently "playing" track.
If you like air fresheners and don't mind the larger size and cost, I would highly recommend this, having a new scent automatically every 30 minutes is a great idea, whether or not you choose to refill the disks.
I hope this review was helpful to those who don't like the disks offered by Febreeze or don't like paying them $7 per disk.
