I am currently looking at traditional natural gas tank water heaters vs. the new tankless on-demand ones for my replacement situation where the old (18 yrs!) natural gas water heater is starting to show signs of the tank rusting out.
From my research, with the high initial purchase cost as well as the typically higher installation costs for the new tankless heaters, it does not appear to be cost-effective for me to put in a tankless heater. So I've now started looking for reviews of traditional gas water heaters to narrow my choices there and came across your review.
I thought your review was very thorough, informative, and had a very readable and engaging conversational personal writing style. What was a bonus is that it is about a hot water heater that you've had for 4 years so it has good actual real-life "lived-with-it" experience of more than a couple of weeks or months.
