I ordered an Ibanez RGT3120 (prestige)from them about a year ago which was not in stock at that moment.
My order was a disaster.
The first thing what I noticed was that their customer service was terrible. They did not answer any of my messages normally to the point as if people who worked there did not understand what they read or as if they were some sort of cold robots.
I knew that I would have problems in my country if I had to return the item to them. I asked them maybe five times to check the instrument very carefully before sending to me....they "checked" of course and of course it came a bit damaged on the other side. :) It was not done during the shipping process.
I saw in their site that they had in stock an open box guitar of the same model. I believe, that they put it to me on purpose. Maybe they did not manage to get the new guitar on time (I had to wait for more than a month), they decided to send me that open box one thinking that I will keep it anyway.
When I wrote to them that guitar was damaged I got an absolutely dumb answer (similar to 20 "Not Related To The Question's Topic" answers before) and they offered $100 for that. I decided to return the guitar anyway...
I had to overcome a real hell trying to send the guitar back to them and retrieve my customs taxes back from my countries customs. I did not retrieve them....
The replacement was Ok, but I don't want to remember this deal again.
Moral: it is very risky to send anything from them if you are a foreigner. You may have trouble with paying customs taxes twice trying to exchange the damaged item.
This depends on countries laws inaccuracies at customs concerning electronic business. In Lithuania, where I live, if you make a deal in Internet and do not write a both sides written agreement you will not be able to prove later at customs that you want to exchange the damaged item. The only way then is to pay customs taxes the second time you get it again!!!.......I believe, such problems may occur in many countries, perhaps in most of them.
..and one more thing. If you want to order something, I think the best way to check the firm is to write them a silly question about their cheapest product and see how and when they respond. This may show a lot how you would be treated if you ordered something.
