Pros: There are now competing products available
Cons: It's still on the market
The Bottom Line: This thing isn't even first generation tech; it's *negative*-generation tech. Get one of the new products now on the market.

...'cause whoever designed and documented the thing was on drugs! Where to begin? The thing *won't* use CDRW's, only CD-R's -- and those have to be in "ISO 9660" format with all MP3's named in DOS 8.3 format. Oh yeah, and not too many files at the root level either, or you have to divide them into directories so the device's brain-dead OS can deal with them.
And speaking of brain-dead, did I mention that the control placement must have been determined by rolling dice?
Favorite "feature:" built-in ni-cad battery charger...that won't let the unit play while the batteries are charging. Nice.
