Starting a band is 1-2-3

The Bottom Line But I always suggest to follow your dreams. Even if you don't make it "BIG", you'll always have recordings of the music you've done. Have a back up plan.
It's pretty simple to start a band. You find a group of people whether it be friends or people interested in being in a band by putting an ad in the newspaper. The tough part is working together, and getting your material perfected so you can be the next "Madonna" or "Rolling Stones". I've been in a band before, and it's definitely hard to pursue. You always have to make time for practice, and you have to compromise your music with others and that's tough.
For all those who wish to become famous it's usually a long road. You have to book at clubs and hopefully gain a huge crowd. Don't forget all the flyers, and demo tapes you have to give to new and old fans. The best thing, besides knowing someone in the business, is to play at places that record producers often visit such as CBGB's in NY.
