The Bottom Line read the opinion, please!
12 Best Places
During my short 18 years, I've been pretty much from one end of the United States to the other. Well not quite, but pretty close. I've been to New Mexico(born there), Arizona, Kansas, Hawaii, through Oklahoma, Ohio, New York, and other states. There are certain attractions though, that caught my attention at some places. This is a list of them, based on what I can remember.
12. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Located in the Great Lake City of Cleveland, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is right near the Cleveland Indian's stadium, and the U.S. Coast Guard's Office.
Admission fee is $15.00 per person. There are many different floors, and each has a different genre. And the rock & roll hall of fame isn't just for people who like rock, there's also rap exhibits, and a rap floor. The Museum tries to encompass all of the musical greats, even ones that some would wish weren't recognized. Yes, that includes the rap great, Dr. Dre, now producer of Eminem, and one of the original members of N.W.A.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame also features a gift shop, in which you can buy gifts for your friends, or for yourself to remind you of your visit to the City of Cleveland, and especially to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Special Note: Cameras, Video or Still, are not allowed in the Museum. Apparently this is to perserve some of the displays. Especially since they have some of the original writing of songs done by the artists, set in the displays. So if you're planning to go taking pictures, think again.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is located at:
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum
One Key Plaza(East 9th Street at Lake Erie)
Cleveland, Ohio 44114

11. Hoover Dam
Located in Nevada, Hoover Dam is a place that's worth a day visit to go see. Built to create Lake Meade, and control the Colorado River, Hoover Dam is one of the most recognized man made constructions around. Even being featured in Movies, and is recognized as a man-made wonder. The dam has gift shops, and you can opt to take a tour of the inside of the dam. Where they show you places where hydro-electricity is produced, and give you information on the making of the Dam.
10. Gila Cliff Dwelling
Located in the Western part of New Mexico, Gila Cliff Dwellings is a historic place, that everyone who has the chance, should visit. Even if it's just to say you've been there.
Gila cliff Dwellings is a Canyon, that Native Americans used to live in. They used caves and clay to build their houses, and store their food. It's amazing to see, and in a way serene, to be there. It's also awe-inspiring, knowing that you're standing in a place of such history.
Warning Around this area there are lizards called Gila Monsters. They are a poisonous lizard, that though they might not be fatal, they could make you sick, and require medical attention. Also there might be Rattle Snakes in this area, too. Though they might not be around much since it's a tourist attraction and there's a lot of people around. So before visiting, make sure you check into the local Wild Life, and you might also want to carry a few snake bite kits, which can be bought at your local Wal-Mart, or sporting goods store.
9.Meteor Crater
Located in Arizona, Meteor Crater is a thousands of years old tourist attraction, that has a trail in which you can walk the rim of the Crater. The Crater, which was created by a Meteor, hence the name, features many parts of history, which are very interesting to hear about. And since it has something to do with space, you can learn a little about space through it.
The Crater features a gift shop in which you can buy pieces of meteor, or small pieces of gold. You can also buy the usual t-shirts and other gift shop items. Including pictures of the Crater. It's a truly cool place to go see, if you're in Arizona for business or vacation, and have the time to get away.
8.Grand Canyon
Also located in Arizona, Grand Canyon is one of the most recognized places in the U.S. possibly in the world. Giving it's name to the description of Arizona, Grand Canyon is proudly bragged about by every Arizona State License.
It's a very beautiful and awe inspiring natural wonder. It's history is astounding, and it's sheer size alone will intimidate even the most bravest of people. This makes it one of the best places to visit on my list of Favorite places.
7.Fools Hollow Lake
Yet again located in Arizona, Fools Hollow is one of the best places to visit in Arizona. A camping ground that has the claim to being a home to the Majestic Bald Eagle, and the Golden Eagles.
With camper hook-ups, provisions for people with tents, such as fireplaces, and a lake to go fishing in, Fools Hollow is a definite place to visit for that camping trip you've always wanted.
6.Petrified Forest
Are you sick of the Arizona sites yet? Well I hope not, because I am now going to recommend the Petrified Forest to you. A national park that literally was millions of years in the making. Petrified Forest is home of trees that have been mineralized by water and time, to make beautiful rocks. While rocks can't be taken from the park itself, you can purchase pieces of the petrified wood at the gift shop, as well as other stones for your collection, if you're a rock collector.
I definitely recommend a visit here. It'll give you some pretty neat information. Especially if you're a rock collector, and you're interested in that kind of stuff. So check this out, it can't hurt anything1
5.Painted Desert
Right around Petrified Forest, Painted Desert is another must see, even if it's a drive by viewing through your truck, car, or motor-home window.
The Painted Desert is so named for it's multi-colors, which makes it look like an artist took a paint brush to it, and colored it to his or her desires. A truly beautiful part of our land, that's well worth a trip to see.
4.Las Vegas
Probably one of the richest cities, in name, money, and in reputation. Las Vegas is home to some of the most luxurious and sometimes most ridiculous casinos. Such Casinos as The Luxor and Circus Circus, and even bigger Casinos like Excalibur, which might as well be a full sized castle, because that's what it looks like, and not just in size, in resemblance too.
So if you're looking for a great time, I recommend you take a few days to explore this wonderful City, because guaranteed you won't even get half of it in one day. And hey, if you're lucky, you can catch a show of someone famous, or even a glimpse of them on the street if you're paying attention!
3.Honolulu Hawaii
A great city to visit, which hosts a lot of beaches, and parks for you to go have a good time. They also have a Seaworld and other parks, in which you can go see. They have a museum about Dinosaurs, which would be a good place to take the kids. Or you can go see the geisers that can be found around beaches. These are actual natural geisers that shoot up ocean water into the air. Other recommendations would be the Submarine ride, if it's still available.
2.Waikiki Beach
Located in Honolulu(I do believe, someone can correct me though if I'm wrong?), Waikiki Beach is one of the most beautiful, and the most recognized beaches in the world. Worthy to even take a short walk on, to spending a day on it, soaking sun, or taking a swim in the water.
1.Pearl Harbor
If you visit Honolulu, you should be ashamed of yourself if you don't go and visit Pearl Harbor, especially the Memorial. Here you can see close-ups of Navy ships, and then you can take a boat out to the Memorial, to see the names of people who perished in the bombing of Pearl Harbor, as you stand over a boat that was sunk during the bombing, still leaking its oil.
Now..
I've visited every one of these places, at least once, and love them all, and I want to go back to each. I can almost promise you that you'll have a good time at each place, and learn at least a little bit from them. And if you don't have that good of a time, hey at least you learned something, and as they say, knowledge is power.
Finally, Invite to a Write-Off

For those Canadians, or those Americans who visit Canada frequently, you're invited to write about any province, or provinces, that you know a lot about. Or, if you know a lot about all of Canada, write about all of it, and tell as much as you can. I'll be putting up information, rules, and questions, as well as a list of writers, as they join, on my profile soon! So look forward to the What's Great About Canada W/O!
