The Bottom Line GOD BLESS AMERICA! We will never forget the fallen, wounded, families across the USA!
September 11, 2001 a day America will NEVER forget!
I was awoken by a phone call and it was my Mom in the EST time zone
saying, "Are you okay?" I replied, "Yes, why?"
She begin to tell me and my heart sunk! I was terrified that one plane had already struck the tower and the next one unfolded right before my very eyes. This was something that I wanted to wake up from.
I was so scared and in shock that someone could hurt our nation like this. Although I know that the world is filled with hate, anger, and retaliation.
My husband is active duty Navy and I was scared at to what may come of this "act of war". I knew that with him just coming to shore duty he has little chance of being deployed over seas but you just never know. He is highly trained and could be doing so much to help take care and defend our country. He is actually angry that he got to shore duty now because his last ship has already deployed on their yearly routine float. But he wants to be there now to help out. He said that he feels helpless!
We are proud to be a part of the military because this is the reason that he joined is to serve our country. He is thankful that he has gotten to show his help in other conflicts that we have had in the last couple of years.
Terriorst really don’t realize what they are messing with when it comes to the USA. We have seen them bomb our own ships like last year when they struck the USS COLE. We had friends on that ship as we were stationed in the same home port as them. We had some acquaintances in the Pentagon and a few relatives that work in the WTC. But we have no fear that America will prevail!! We have a wonderful President and I thank God for that every day! I know that he is a strong man and will be able to help us through this for the long haul.
For those of you that don’t know what you can do from far away I have a few suggestions. Some of them are as simple as a letter, donations, blood, clothes, etc.

If you can’t afford to give anything new. I am sure you have some old clothes or supplies that you could give for donations. I know me for instance I get free samples off the web all the time. So I am sending care packages of sample deodorants, toothpaste, etc.

You can fly your American flag high and proud.
For those of you that can’t find a flag keep looking. They should be getting new shipments in all week around here in FL.

In our city and around the states we’re wearing yellow and purple ribbons. The yellow and purple are to support and honor the wounded and fallen.
Also if you have some red, white, & blue ribbon wear it with pride. I tied some to my antenna. We also found some local Winn Dixie stores had some American Support T-shirts 3 for $9.00.
If you can’t find any ribbon or anything colorful for your car there are a number of places on line to print out some flags. Just do a search for them.
