Incredibly unsatisfactory and completely void of any customer service whatsoever.

I was extremely displeased with my experience at DVDAvenue. I am writing this review so hopefully other customers will not experience the same frustrations I did. I ordered a rare DVD set from them with intentions of ordering more. I was promised a tracking number as soon as the package was shipped so I could track its progress til it got to me.
After a week I still hadn't heard anything so I tried to call the company. I called 3 times (always well within business hours) never got a reply. I tried emailing then (twice), still never got a reply (any reply, whether negative or positive. Just silence.). After three weeks, no replies and no shipping info, I called my bank to get my money refunded, afraid I might have been scammed. THEN I finally got a reply to one of my emails, a short impersonal response with no apologies for my inconvenience that flatly stated my package hadn't been shipped yet. No explanations for where it was or when it WOULD be shipped (after 3 weeks of no word), just a short rude thank you for my continued patience.
After that, I was mad and wanted my money back. It took 2 months to clear up the mess. Please don't waste your money there or shop with a store that treats people this way. The lines they have there about being committed to customer service are all lies. My first 2 emails didn't even GET replied to.
I am not a mean or vindictive person, but I know when I go to buy online, I want to read about a store first before I sink my money into it (especially $250 dollars worth, which was about what I paid for the merchandise I was buying). That's why I am leaving this review, because what people have to say about stores and their experiences is important so others can buy wisely. I always leave good reviews when I have a good experience and unfortunately, this wasn't!! I am going to a store that appreciates my money and my business and won't ignore my requests for help and I suggest you do the same. I understand that it takes time to get back to people in a business, but 3 whole weeks? That is just unacceptable to me!
