This phone, the Cingular Motorola Phone Model V180 was a gift from my hubby. Why? Because he loves me? Yeah and because he upgraded his phone to a snazzy number that even takes video and I was carrying around a honkin' big phone that was totally outdated. It worked for both of us, what can I say?
The Cingular Motorola Phone Model V180 is a perfect size for purse or pocket. I do find when it's in my purse I don't always hear the ring tone even though I have it set at the highest possible decibel range. Another problem area is that the ring tone keys are on the side of the phone, exactly where you tend to place your thumb if you hold it in your left hand. This means you can accidentally lower the ring tone to nothing without realizing it. I know, I did this once and couldn't for the life of me figure out what happened. I sat in my car by the side of the road for at least 5-10 minutes before I figured out what I had done.

The Cingular Motorola Phone Model V180, a clamshell or flip style phone, measures 3.43" x 1.75" x 0.91" closed and 6 1/4" in length when opened fully. This isn't counting the little fixed antenna that is 3/4". The screen is 1 1/4" x 1 1/4". When closed it offers you the time this will become caller ID when you get an incoming call. The screen when closed also let's you know the signal strength of your ring tone and whether you have messages. There is a graph on the right that indicates how much battery life you have left.
The Cingular Motorola Phone Model V180 holds it's battery strength for about 3 1/2 days for me. It charges very quickly with the Vehicle Power Charger by Cingular or the standard charger. The vehicle power charger also provides virtually unlimited in-vehicle use so I highly recommend purchasing this piece of equipment for $26.99. There is a hands free plug on the bottom and your wall charger plug next to that. Incoming calls can be ut on vibrate, silent or audio.
The Cingular Motorola Phone Model V180 has call waiting, one button call back for responding to text messages, silent mode for meetings and support, English, Spanish, Portuguese or French. The address boook holds 500 addresses.
The Cingular Motorola Phone Model V180 has 128 x 128 pixel, 65k color display, 2 line external display and 4 line internal display as well as a clock. It stores up to 500 names and numbers in it's memory feature and gives you easy last call redial.
The Cingular Motorola Phone Model V180 Safety and security features offer personal security code, integrated speaker phone, a portal for optional hands free devices and polyphonic ring tones.
The Cingular Motorola Phone offers Mobil instant messaging, wireless internet express, multimedia send and receive, with pictures, animations, sounds and text, polyphonic text ring tones, on board and down loadable games, down loadable MIDI/MP3 ring tones, screen savers and wallpapers and personal information management (calendars and reminders). I'm extremely technically challenged but i'm learning many of these features very slowly. The Motorola site is very helpful.
There are many, many items you can purchase to carry the phone, neck, arm, wrist carriers, nylon carriers, leather carriers and holster carriers. Some can be worn on the upper arm or on your leg which would be great for when you are exercising. Prices range from $7-$21 for these. The hands free kit is $29, this is a must for states with laws against using the phone in the car.
Quite a bit of material in one piece of equipment! All in all the Cingular Motorola Phone Model V180 is a pretty perfect piece of equipment in my opinion.
