Look at my reviews and you will see that I'm a cell phone nut. From the second I saw this phone, I loved it. I had the Chocolate before this and absolutely hated it. The battery would last about 10-minutes. I did however, love the features on that phone. The VX8300 has all those features, but is more compact, more durable and the battery lasts for days! The black/gray colors add to the sleek look of this phone.
The camera with the flash is cool. There is a zoom feature and many camera options that helps out in taking better pictures. There is also a video recorder, which stores up to 15-seconds of sound and video. With the Micro SD Card, you can set up the video to record longer. There is a slot for the Micro SD card, which comes in so handy transferring pictures and storing music, pictures and videos. A great feature is the insane speaker phone! There are two round speakers on each side of the phone that really makes this speaker phone far more superior than other phones.
The GPS on this phone is incredible! Just like the installed car GPS units, the VX8300 talks to you and gets you where you want to be. It is much more effective than I expected from a cell phone. The service is $10.00 per month through Verizon, but they do give you a trial period for free when you download via your handset.
After I purchased this phone, my father got one and my mother then followed. My wife is getting increasingly upset with her Razr, and is sure to go with the VX8300 real soon.
I've always looked for a compact, durable phone packed with features. This is surely it!
I bought a rubber, snap-on two-piece case on ebay, which doesn't add any weight or bulk to this phone. It's just something for added protection.
The features are all listed on verizonwireless.com, so I will not bore you on the technical features.
Go for this phone, you will be very happy with it.
