Thanks for the comments and adding me to your WOT. Your comments captured my thoughts exactly. Having tube mid-range warmth with solid-state bass control is what the Yaqin did for my system.

Nice review. You actually have me considering one of these. I've had tube amplifiers in my system, and loved the midrange presence and warmth, but one couldn't control my woofers and the other was underpowered. The thought of a tube-like midrange with 150 solid state wpc (I use old B&K) is intriguing. It sounds like the differences you describe are striking enough that they would stand up to double-blind testing. I realize such testing is hard to do in the home. Anyway, thanks for an interesting review. I actually read this one word for word.

Hi,
Couldn't do a blind comparison so I had no choice but to do a direct comparison. The sound difference with the Yaqin in place is very startling. I had four other people with me, spouses included, who all agreed that the Yaqin in place made a very positive difference with both AV systems.
