Hi... (Reply to this comment)

I'm glad the evaluator had the insight to recognize so many of the problems you were facing with these visitations. I also hope the father makes some progress with his mental issues. My heart goes out to you. This sounds like an incredibly hard situation. :( qualia

It seems hopeless (Reply to this comment)

It's hard to imagine that anyone believes that 16 hours of coaching and therapy will make an appreciable difference in this man's ability to function as a father. For whatever reason, some people just can't, and this seems to be one of them. Hang in there!

Thanks for the comments - UPDATE (Reply to this comment)
by bonniesayers
The ex was a no-show at court today. The Judge went over the recommendations from evaluator and asked me for my opinion.
He amended them to state that until my minivan is fixed or replaced the visits will be at my home and that the father will be paying for them. Also the father needs proof to give to monitor that he is under the care of a psychiatrist.
Hopefully with the stress of school starting next week our schedule will not be interrupted and since he has no money doubt many visits will take place.

So sorry that you have to deal with all of that. Mostly feeling sad that your children must endure it all. It's a good thing they have such a devoted mother.

I so hope things improve for you, Bonnie. It sounds like everything, and everyone, is on your side, and just as importantly, the side of the children.
I can't imagine what you've been through. I hope you have a ton of emotional support, as this must just knock you down and out sometimes.
Thanks for sharing all of this. I know for me, it helps me to know you better, and if you ever need to vent, or just want to talk, drop me a line anytime. I may not be able to do much, but I can always listen.
My best,
Marsha

Soon they have to discover that this man is a menace to his own sons. Why do these agencies work for a happy ending when there is no way it will work with this person.
You are one amazing woman.
