What a great idea (Reply to this comment)
by mommykd
My niece will be 8 in June and my sister is wondering what she can do to be "different". I'll tell her to check and see if any of our local flower shops could do something like this!
Thanks for a great idea - I'm sure the girls had a fun time!

For this occasion, I got them the small silver round beaded necklaces that you can purchase at Michael's Craft Store. These already had a clasp on them, and were easier for them to work themselves.
I would recommend this type for a larger group of girls. I have used a cord in the past where I have tied on my own clasp, but this sometimes comes undone. This is not a hassle you want to deal with at a party, trust me. ;)

This sounds like such a fun party...I'm planning my little one's coming in November and am looking for more crafty ideas. I like the bead necklace one. What kind of chain did you get them? I loved the floral decorating idea. How cool is that!

This was for her seventh birthday! There were a couple of girls that were a bit younger (5 & 6) who also had a great time. In fact, the five year old had her birthday party here as well.
Thanks for the comment...

We don't have those here, but I'm wondering if a florist who is a family friend would be willing to do this.
Can I ask how old your daughter was for this party? I'm storing ideas for the future for my daughter. They have all sorts of bug and reptile-type things here for boy parties, but not much for girl parties.

.....great idea!! This sounds so awesome. Young girls truly do love crafts and anything that includes using real flowers has to be just the best for them.
You are so clever....oh and Happy Birthday to your daughter.......kath
