NASCAR Online is the place for NASCAR fans, young and old, to get all the latest NASCAR news you crave. Being a big NASCAR fan myself, I frequent this site a lot, especially on Friday's where I follow qualifying, latest practice times and any news on the upcoming races. I think any NASCAR fan would enjoy all the news and information you can find here on any of the NASCAR series.
When you first get to the site there is a lot to see just on the first page. On the left they have a menu where you can go to different parts of the site.
On the front page, you will have news stories from Online Exclusives and CNN Sports Illustrated. They also list New on nascar.com, which will list anything new on the site.
NASCAR Poll is always a favorite for fans, usually updated weekly, sometimes more depending on what's happening in NASCAR. Once you vote, you immediately get to see the results of the poll so far.
Today in NASCAR History is an interesting feature, telling you what happened on that day back in history. They have some very interesting stories that can help you learn more about the history of the sport.
Photo Gallery usually covers the previous race, with pictures anywhere from drivers getting ready for the race, to pictures of the race itself.
Racecast is another feature I just love. With NASCAR's Racecast you can follow qualifying and the races online, great when you're near a computer, but not a TV. They give you lap by lap coverage of the races and you can even listen in on the drivers with in-car audio.
Racescape gives you a little virtual tour, so to speak of some of the things going on at the track.
Vidoe/Audio is another feature I love. Here you can view video clips and audio clips of interviews and action on and off the track. They usually have about 3 or 4 videos for each race, among other interesting video and audio clips.
Broadcast tells you the time and channel any NASCAR race coverage is on.

This takes you to their news page, so of which you will have seen a little teaser on the front page. Here you will find all of the news stories on anything NASCAR from Online Exclusives, CNN Sports Illustrated stories, NASCARS own articles The Buzz, Commentary, and then Series News, which covers Winston Cup, Busch Grand National, and Craftsman Truck series news. You'll find all the latest updates from the changes that are being made to driver updates, all the NASCAR news you want.
Multimedia
Here you have an Audio Gallery, Video Gallery, Featured Video, CNN Sports Illustrated videos, and then the also have Archived Video, which you can choose from driver or race videos.
Tech
Here they explain the technical aspects of NASCAR in Tech News, so that the fans can understand what's going on in the pits and even more explaining is done in Crew Chief Corner, which covers handling, pit stops and critical components. The last thing in the Tech are is Tech Q & A, where you can send in your own questions and get them answered.
Drivers
Here you can get information on your favorite drivers from the Winston Cup, Busch Grand National, and Craftsman Truck series. First they list the standard information of car number, driver name, make and sponsor, crew chief and team, from there you can get information on the driver or crew chief, just by clicking their name.
Tracks
This area covers all the tracks that the three major NASCAR series run at. The top of the page is dedicated to the track that the race is to be at for the weekend. You can get some in-depth information about the different tracks.
NASCAR on TV
Gives you the TV schedule for the races including channel and air time. They also have news stories in here about the NASCAR TV coverage.
Know your NASCAR
Here you can learn a lot about the history or NASCAR. It has The King's Diaries, Families of NASCAR, History of NASCAR, The Basics, Points and Payouts, and The Stock Car. They also have some video of Know your NASCAR.
Games
This area has fantasy and simulation games. Some are free to participate and some aren't, but they all pertain to NASCAR.
Fans
News for fans, collectibles, message boards, and even a place to build your own fan page.
Store
Here you can buy anything NASCAR, collectibles to clothing, adult and kid sizes. Prices are reasonable for NASCAR items and they deliver in a timely manner. You can search by product type, driver or specialty stores.
Chat
Here you can participate in chats with drivers during scheduled appearances and you can also read transcripts of previous chats that were held.
Special
This area has special news and information pertaining to the NASCAR series, most of which can be found in different areas of the site, but this is any easy way to get to them if you forget which area it's in.
On the top of the page you can do a search or go directly to the series page. Series that are covered are: Winston Cup, Busch Grand National, Craftsman Truck, Winston West, Busch North, Gatorade All-Pro, Featherlite Modified, Featherlite SW, Goody's Dash, Raybestos NW, O'Reilly All-Star, RE/MAX Challenge, and the NASCAR Weekly Racing series.
With all the information they have here, you can see why I frequent the site a lot. They give you the breakdown as to which series is running where, point standings, weather at the tracks, race results, driver information, practice times, pictures, NASCAR TV schedules and weekend schedules for the big three series among other things, basically anything you would want to know.
They also have a what they call a 'garage cam' set up at the track the Winston Cup series runs and you can view live images from the track, usually starting sometime on Friday afternoon.
They cover live timing and scoring on the site also, for Winston Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck, and you can see the results of qualifying and the races as they happen at the track (no images, just text), the page refreshes automatically so you can just sit back and watch. For those of you with Realplayer they have live MRN broadcasts of the races and qualifying on the site also.
I like the fact that I can check in and see my favorite drivers practice times and see if he is improving. I do watch qualifying on NASCAR Online when it is not going to be on TV, but thankfully, they have been covering every qualifying session.
All in all I would recommend this site to any NASCAR fan, whether you are a fan of the three big series or a fan of the smaller NASCAR racing series. You can get all of your NASCAR information on one site, who could ask for more than that?
