Solstice

Mar 01 '04 (Updated Mar 11 '04)

The Bottom Line Both about living and the death of a way of life.

Solstice

Grinding bodies and tits
pressed by stranger's faces have
no meaning anymore.
Once it tasted of the nectar of the god's,
divine ecstasy.
Now a circle that leads to where it began,
its rotation staying put.
Filling the void with drink was fine
and filling the female void was preferred.

Once exile was lifted it was found
that desire, to return,
was lost.
The thought of losing an empty life-
style feels likes no loss,
tastes of confusion.
How is it that the sweet scent of new perfume
could turn sour?

Tired of playing the same game in different stadiums,
there are no victors;
body aches with overuse and boredom.
How does one change their life?
The old was there for a reason,
when that is tossed aside,
there should be something to take its place.
Only the knowledge and wisdom
of understanding permeates
a body dehydrated of thought.

No better than before,
the places of the past are no longer home,
circles of mistakes and wasted time eat away at
the soul that grasps for serenity.
The solstice of affinity can arrive overnight when
the subject is willing to receive.
