I realise that you didnt comment that Stillmatic was a good album, but the general consensus on Epinions is that Stillmatic is the second best album nas has made, the point that i was making was that it is well overated and that IWW is the second best album nas has done.
I can clearly see that you didnt think IWW was up to scratch and that i'm not going to be able to change your opinion about it, so as much as i respect your opinions, i have to disagree with you on this one, and i stick by my believe that IWW is a solid album.

point but did I ever say I liked Stillmatic?? Actually If you read my (very old and need to be updated) review of it maybe you'll see my opinion of it for yourself. And two It Was Written was awful. I Gave You Power and the Cormega verse were the only good things about it. The Dr. Dre beat (and most of the production) was awful and Nas' lyricism was way under what I would expect. I seriously don't care what anyone says the album was DIRE!
Thanks for replying,

It Was Written (Reply to this comment)

I can take your point about using bold and italic fonts in my succedding reviews, however, how you can call Nas - It was written 'garbage' is beyond me.
First of all, It was written was never going to top Illmatic, however this is WITHOUT DOUBT Nas's second best album ever - Yes i do believe it's better than Stillmatic!
Here's why It was written was better:
On IWW there are no records dedicated to the Bravehearts.
With the only exception of Foxy Brown, IWW has better guest appearences. (cormega, lauryn hill, az and mobb deep)
Although the production on IWW is not as groundbreaking as it was on Illmatic, it is still more solid than on Stillmatic.
Lyrically, Nas is twice as POETIC on IWW, although i conceed that the battle against Jay-z, does give Stillmatic a slight edge over IWW.
Overall, Nas's subject matter, poetic lyrics, flow and production is far superior to Stillmatic on IWW- and in my opinion the only reason (albeit a genuine argument) for the quality of Stillmatic is based solely on the beef with Jay-z.

some Great songs on that list! Liquid Swords is my favourite hip hop albums of all time and B.I.B.L.E is the highlight of the album! T.R.O.Y also is weirdly a slept on classic just because people know it but simply forget about it!
Plus Nas' I Gave You Power is simply the icing on the cake. It Was Written was garbage, but that song is certainly a highlight of Nas' career!
Great job, but may I recommend you make your review easier on the eyes with some italics and bol lettering to break things down a little.

Yes, I was just about to say that. The Genius doesn't even rap on B.I.B.L.E, which is my favorite track on the entirety of Liquid Swords.

Nice choices man, just one mistake I noticed, Gza does not appear on "B.I.B.L.E". It is on "Liquid Swords" but it's a Killah Priest solo. Otherwise it's a nice list, "Royalty" is such a slept-on Gang Starr song.
