Pros: Pleasing taste that my children readily accepted with no argument. Fewer sedating side effects
Cons: Only the price.
The Bottom Line: This is a very well tolerated product, and offers an over the counter option with a pleasing taste and really no reason not to use it.

This has been a wonderful product for our children. We had no resistance from them ever to take it. I frantically have searched for this product at all retail stores and grocery stores to no avail. It just seemed to disappear as though it never existed. Also there are no other products from competitors or store brands that compare so far, I will continue to look though.
I am able to give my children the vanilla mint strips but I am disappointed that I have to purchase this item now as my only option, as it is 1/2 the qty. for the same price as 20 of the fastmelts. My children will begrudgingly take the grape chewables as long as I remain right there beside them and monitor their progress to make sure they do not hide it or throw it away, which they have done several times. We have never had any success with the liquid varieties in cherry or bubblegum flavors they are not even an option for my children. In our household any type of liquid medicine usually brings with it a struggle to dispense it successfully and those particular flavors truly do taste like medicine. Since liquids have to be taken out of a medicine dispenser or medicine cup this only adds to the negative side effects.
If the company is trying to upset their customers they have succeeded. From a Marketing standpoint this does not seem like a very smart move. I would readily purchase this product again if it were put back on the shelves and if there were an option to continue to purchase it online I would also be willing to do so. I just hope that there is enough negative press concerning this production change that they rethink their decision and begin to offer it again soon. I plan to write the manufacturer directly and regularly to encourage them to change their minds, hopefully communicating to them will have a positive reaction for the benefit of the consumer, and the children affected by this.
