Pros: Cleaned off smoke residue easily
Cons: Shredded some on rough areas.
The Bottom Line: Magic Eraser restored items that I thought would have to be thrown away.

We recently had a house fire. The only thing saved were some glass and wood keepsakes from the front room and master bedroom. Mr Clean Magic Eraser was the only thing I found to remove the smoke residue,especially from the wood surfaces.
Best things saved - a wooden box which was a wedding gift (24 years). It held mementoes from our courtship and my original wedding ring. It also had a lock of my husband's hair from when he was a baby and things I saved from our daughter's birth. Things set on top of the box had left ugly black rings which the Magic Eraser removed.
Another keepsake was a set of wooden coaster given to me by an old friend who passed away 7 years ago. Mr Clean restored them very nicely.
It's hard to explain the loss you feel after a devastating fire like we had. The night it happened all we had left were the clothes on our backs. It has been an emotional roller coaster. Combing through the ruins and finding so very few things still in intact was discouraging because they did not look to be salvageable. Mr Clean Magic Eraser made the difference. Things that were precious are even more so now.
