I was looking for a chair that can recline and lock in the reclined back position. I searched BizChair.com and found an office chair which was described as having a "locking tilt tension mechanism". I called customer service and asked her if the "locking tilt tension mechanism" feature meant that I can recline the chair and lock it in the reclined back position. Her exact response to me was "yes". Since my purchase was entirely based on this feature, I asked her the same question again just to make sure she understood me. Her response again was "yes". So I placed an order to buy the chair.
When I received the chair, it was not able to lock it in the reclined position like the customer service woman said it could. It would lock in the upright position only. I was given false information from BizChair.com. I would never have purchased this chair if I knew it didn't lock in the reclined position. I was sold this chair under false pretenses.
I called Bizchair.com and asked if I can return this chair and receive a full refund. She told me I need to pay the return shipping as well as the shipping of the original chair. I explained the reason I need to return the chair is due to the false information given to me when I spoke to the customer service. I was also told in order to get a full refund; I need to have the name of the customer service person who I originally spoke with so that they can ask the person to confirm. As you can imagine, I never asked for the name of the customer service woman@when I call the customer service. The only way I would know her name is if she offered it to me voluntary, which she didn't. How was I supposed to know they will give me the false information about their products! Since I didnft take the name of person I talked to, I was responsible to pay the return shipping cost PLUS the original shipping fee to send me the product in the first place! I strongly believe this is their fault and should have trained their workers to provide callers asking questions about their product with accurate information, which I did not receive at all. I will not buy anything from this fraudulent company ever again!!!
