| micahfriedman's Full Review: Sony SAT-HD100 Multi-Satellite Tuner |
I purchased the HD100 to go with my Sony KW34XBRHD2 TV, which is an HD monitor. Out of the box, the setup was a snap, all I had to do was connect my DBS, Off-Air Antenna and Cable in. Done. The unit was up in 10 minutes from unpacking.
I have had no problems with dolby, switching video modes or any other related issues. By comparison - it took over 2 hours to set up my SAT-T60.
In deference to the other reviews, the channel changing is a bit slow. I would also like to be able to name the labels on the guide for digital broadcast stations.
Finally, the price of $699 was steep - but watching the HD broadcasts is mind boggling. If you've got $4000 left over after buying the tuner, go get the Sony TV to match!
