They're (STILL) in denial about how bad things are

Until a few days ago, I loved eDiets.com. Lots of different diet types to meet different needs, a package more inclusive of the kinds of things dieters need to do, terrific support, customized meal plans, shopping lists, etc.
They decided to change the site to improve it. By some accounts, they have been planning this for more than a year.
Within 24 hours, it was a disaster.
Members were finding that 200 to ONE THOUSAND calories had been added to each day. Fitness programs wouldn't have produced a sweat on anyone. Profiles, erased. Message boards, gone. Login information, gone. BMI information, wrong.
Denial: in full swing, at least by eDiets staff.
In post after post, they extol the wonderful changes, the new features, new procedures. A very, very few admitted there were some "glitches" and thanked everyone for sticking with them while they figured it all out.
Here's a clue, gleaned directly from the feedback in the boards (at least from the people who are able to post at all): everything is broken. Out of the millions of members, NOT ONE has written in to say that things have improved. Out of the hundreds of posts, only one person has even said that they'll continue to be patient. People are cancelling -- or at least trying to, the phone lines are apparently not even being answered anymore -- in droves. A number of people are writing in to say they're glad they printed off the last several months of menus and diet history, because most of it is gone, and what remains is hugely incorrect.
The president of eDiets.com joined the message boards to post that they were excited about the changes for the future. Within a day, there were hundreds of posts about people wanting things fixed NOW.
It is apparent that eDiets did not test any aspect of this website before rolling it out. They apparently did not keep a version of the old site so they could return to where they were.
Bottom line: this can be a very, very, very good program. But wait until you hear that everything is fixed. Otherwise, you're paying about $18 a month for a lot of frustration, and you will not lose weight or gain fitness from their program.
UPDATE: I was eventually able to get a refund for the part of the month I didn't use. I managed to get an eDiets staffer who reads the boards to cancel my account (I never did get an answer to emails and couldn't get through on the phone). In reading the few things I can find about this, they are still having problems in April 2008. If anything, the meal delivery program is worse, because it costs so much more.
