The Bottom Line: If you hook up cheap speakers its going to POP. But don't go out and buy the most expensive either just a good quality speaker $35-$60

I have owned this card for almost a year now, I've had no problems. I've tried several different speakers on this card and it makes them all sound great and can handle anything you throw at it. (I work in a computer store and this is the card we use to test speakers) I'm not trying to make a sale or anything. ALL I'M SAYING IS IT WORKS GOOD
Aopen isn't into loading down your hard drive so it doesn't come with a big software package (but really who installs everything they get. Chances are you already have all the software you need thanks to microsoft or linux ,realplayer or whatever you like (personally I use Liquid player)
What more can you Expect from a sound card. Oh yeah Linux will recognize this card also I install Mandrake 8.0 and it worked no problem.
