If you own a computer... you probably have heard of Hackers and the things that they do. If you want to make your computer less vurenable to these people... you have to have a Fire Wall. Zone Alarm.... Just go to www.zonealarm.com and download your personal Fire Wall. And guess what??... its free! What have you got to loose?? Nothing! Good thing about this program is it logges everything that access out.. and in from your computer. People who are always on-line should really consider getting one of these. People with broadband connection. Hackers tend to hit those kinds of connections because IP addresses never change... and so making it much easier to come back to it for later use. With Zone Alarm... you can stop those people from accessing your computer. What zone alarm does... is.. it asks you if you want a connection to be made. And of course you can set it up so that a program has access to the internet as soon as it runs... no questions asked...and you can make a program not accessable at all. Best thing is.... if you have a broadband connection... you can set Zone Alarm up... so that when your screen saver kicks in... it locks down all connections. you can use that if you're not using the computer... you don't have to worry about it being on the internet because its being cut off when the screen saver kicks in. Move the mouse... press any key...and its back on just like that!
