3 IN A ROW – ROMASUAVE’S A to Z MOVIE WRITE-OFF

Jun 03 '05

The Bottom Line 3 in a row, as it seems I am caught up in this strange phenomenon for some weird reason, anyway mine is a little different from the others I think?

I told myself after posting 2 write-off’s in a row I wouldn’t do any more for a while (sorry – I lied), anyway when I saw the subject to this one I had to Jump In. I mean Movies is my 3rd Favorite Hobby and I go see New Movies a lot. I have already seen 18 New Movies so far this year and next week I will be going to see Madagascar and Mr. & Mrs. Smith and High Tension the following week. My wife Dot and my mother-in-law took our 16 year old Granddaughter Dani who is staying with us for the next 4 days today while I was working to see Star Wars III which I saw last week. My A through Z Movie posting I hope will be a little different then the few I have read so far?

I will try and cover 5 Movies for each letter that I have personally seen since the 1950’s one for each category I have listed below with a few of my favorite stars that appeared in it. The Movies on this list range from 1932 to 2005. I seem to be hung up on the number 5 a lot lately like my last posting. Sorry for all the John Wayne, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, James Bond, Elvis Presley and a few other stars’ Movies but those are my favorites. I also own most of these Movies either on VHS or on DVD on in the case of The Day The Earth Stood Still I have it in both formats as well.

I am one of the late arrivals to this write-off that was started by romasuave back on 24 May. If you haven’t joined in yet, why not? Just go here to see who has contributed so far: http://www.epinions.com/content_4364279940

JAGUARDOG’S FINAL THOUGHTS

Well that about does it but I’m going to continue to UPDATE this at least once a year to add any NEW Movies I feel are better then the ones already here. This was another very enjoyable write-off and I want to thank everyone who has come by to read My List Of All-Time Favorites. Thanks for reading, rating and be sure to leave a comment if you feel so inclined to do so. I originally was going to make this my last Write-off for a good while, BUT I think (I hope) I have come up with a pretty good one to host myself which will be my very first one to host in the 5 + years I have been here.

I hope too have it posted in just a few days with no stringent rules/guidelines, only suggestions of what I would like to see but its’ all up to the participants how they want to post their entry. I will try to send-out Emails to as many of you as I can get Good Valid Emails on but even if you do not get one from me please feel free to join in it is open to ALL! I hope everyone has a Safe & Wonderful Weekend and God Bless You All and your Families and Friends, Ron.

KEY TO NOTES

* - 2 Funniest Movies on the list
** - 2 Most Action packed Movies on the list
*** - 2 Scariest Movies on the list
**** - 2 Best Sci-Fi Movies on the list
***** - 2 Best Animated Movies on the list
# - My 2 All-Time Favorite Movies on the list – Yes they are both John Wayne Movies and yes they both end very sadly.
@ - 2 Movies that came the closest to making the regular list

NOTE – Any duplication of Movies from other lists in this Write-Off are completely coincidental and are not put here on my list on purpose.

BTW - I realize I didn't put any information about the Movies on here but with it being so big and long and different I hope you will please excuse me from that little piece?
