Our experience with SquareTrade has been flawless. We purchased a warranty for a laptop. It was quick, easy, and we felt fairly priced. We used the laptop for about a year when one evening I powered it down like usual and the next morning it would not start. Suddenly would not power on at all, no matter what.
At that time we purchased a new laptop and never bothered with the warranty, expecting we wouldn't get much, if any, help out of it.
My husband finally filled out their online claim form months later. It was easy to find, easy to fill out, and pretty painless overall. The same evening they contacted us back with instructions for sending the item to them for inspection. We still didn't expect much back at this point. Worst case we got rid of a dead laptop and got maybe a bit of our money back.
We packaged it up with the provided shipping label and sent it on it's way. It took a very short amount of time for them to inspect and verify the condition of the laptop. Just a few days after they received the laptop we were notified that we would be refunded the complete purchase price for the laptop, less shipping. A very fair deal in our opinion! Now how long would it take to process this?! Just 3-5 days. It only took 2-3 days. Wow!
All said and done, I highly recommend SquareTrade. You just can't buy warranties like this anymore. Great service, very quick, easy, and no run around. We haven't found this to be the case with retail store warranties.
