Pros: Excellent graphics, much improved passing and shooting systems

The Bottom Line: Well simply said FIFA 2002 is the best soccer game ever for the PC, definitely a must buy.

It is fall of 2002 already, and that means that computer soccer gamer's a year-long wait is over.
FIFA 2002 is here.
The very first impression you get playing FIFA 2002 is that the game seems much harder. For example when I got FIFA 2001 I went straight into World Class difficulty and was competing on the highest level. Not the case in FIFA 2002.
In the beginning it is really hard to get used to the new improved passing and shooting systems.
In all previous versions of FIFA we could never miss. All the passes and shots went exactly where we wanted them to go. We could shoot from anywhere and the shot would go straight to the net. The majority of the gamers did not like that. That’s why EA introduced these systems. Now every shot or pass has its own power, which can be altered with a power bar. So if the power of your shot is too much, you will simply shoot way over the net. The same applies to passes. Obviously when shooting or passing the player has to be facing the direction he wants to perform the action. So if you are not facing the net you won’t be able to shoot there. This is a VERY important and very welcomed edition by every gamer.
These innovations made the gameplay excellent, much improved from the previous versions. Also there are no "sweet spots", the spots from which you always score. A player can miss a completely open and unguarded net.
The graphics are very good. Motion capture technology does its wonders again.
The sound is good also. As always the commentaries can be very funny sometimes.
