I had never heard of Square Trade Warranties before it was offered with an eBay purchase of a Palm Treo 600. I figured, "why not?" The price is right, and honestly, I never expected anything to go wrong with the Treo, but it did. After a few months of use with no problems, it lost its charge and kept dropping calls in places I normally had 4 bars. Suddenly it was one bar or no bars. Then, to top it all off, it would not charge up, so I had a dead phone. Square Trade was fast and fair about dealing with the problem, first doing an extensive trouble-shooting session by phone, and ultimately reimbursing me the purchase price of the Treo. It's nice to know there are companies out there that are such a joy to deal with and so fair. Once I get a replacement phone, I will put it under the Square Trade Warranty for sure and will be recommending absolutely everyone to check out the site and get their own warranties. The thing about warranties--and I've purchased them when I've bought TVs and computers and such at WalMart--is that I always seem to lose the receipt or the warranty paperwork and even though I've rarely, if ever, needed to file a claim, I know having all your information online with STW is the fastest and easiest way to deal with a claim situation. It was SO easy!
They don't call it "Square Trade" for nothing. I am more than happy with STW. Thank you so much!
