in this movie was the nature of the relationship between Chess and James. According to Chess session musician Gene Barge, Chess was not at all intimate with James, as the film suggests. I do agree with a lot of the things you have said, and I wish that this movie had given these folks more of their due, but at least it wasn't as miserable as "Why Do Fools Fall In Love." Thanks for sharing!
