Pathetic customer care, refund process and cheaters. Never buy from BabyAge in my life

My horrible experiance with BabyAge.com online purchase
I placed my order for a baby item (which is $15 less + free shipping), on this site and it said the order is placed, but was never shown on my orders page. Two days later i called their customer care(30 minutes on the phone to talk to an agent) and placed the order. They said their site has a problem, that is the reason the 1st order was not placed. I bet, even if u call at 9am you will hear that there are 2 customers a head of you.
The product is delivered, but after installation its a defective one. I called them and they gave return shipping lable. Here the actual troubles are started for me. The item can not be fully disassembled (i hate fisher price for their design and small box to fit it in) because the leggs of the swing will go inside and gets locked, and there is no way to unlock it unless we remove the screws and do some kind of engineering. Without removing the leggs, its not possible to fit it back in the original box it came with. Somehow with a lot of pain i could able to put it in the box, covering it with another box and posted it.
Since then i have to call them 10times to get my money. Everytime they say that we will process it today, but they dont. Finally i got my money after 20days and overall i have spent 6hours on phone. They have the worst customer care. The agents(may be one agent???) are good but catching hold of them is a big problem. Everytime i have to be online for 30-40minutes to talk to a person. Sometimes i was even on phone for more than an hour. When i ask the agent what is reason for the delay they bluffed that holiday season busy. Even after the holiday season is over in January its the same. I dont know what other good reason they give now. I believe hardly there is one person handling all the calls.
The twist in this story is, when they really started processing my refund i received two emails saying 'some parts are missing, we can not process the refund. hence nothing will be refunded'. They never said what parts are missing in it. There is no way parts can be missed from the packing as the item doesnt have any small parts which might drop off form it. But agent said dont worry about that email we will process your refund. I think the reason for the email is, they are taking away the chances of the customer from disputing the transaction. If a customer disputes the transaction (for the delay in refund process), they will show it as the reason. These guys are big cheaters. I will never transact with them in my life.
After all this pain, i got the original price of the item only wihtout the tax. I called them again for the tax refund and waiting for them.
With this incident i learned multiple lessons
1) Read reviews about the site and the seller before making online purchases 2) Never buy items which require lot of assembly(especially baby items) 3) If the difference is samll (even $20) its always better to buy from local store than online. It will be easy to return the product (no need to pack as it is) and get back the money.
Afterall if i have used the 6hours i have spent on phone (to talk to a customer care agent), for productivity issues i would have saved more
