Recently I went to Disney World for my birthday and while I was there I went to Downtown Disney. While there I came across a store called Basin. My first thought was bathroom fixtures. But, it was a store full of soaps, massage bars, shampoo balls, and so much more. After I got home I noticed that the sale's girl had put into my bag a paper from the store that not only had the products on it but the online website. Several days had gone by and I finally decided to go to the online store. I wanted to get some of that shampoo that they sold. My girlfriend had bought some while we were there and I tried it and loved it. Left my hair the softest it has ever been and I did not need any conditioner either. To me, that shampoo was well worth the 6.99. I had also got some bath salts and a bag of soap. Each of these are just wonderful. The soap is soft and no residue on the skin. The salts dissolved quickly and leaves the skin soft and moisturized.
The Online Store
http://www.basin.com/ is a unique online store because it offers soaps, moisturizers, shampoos, bath beads, body salts, body scrubs, body butter, body bombs and so much more.
The home page is set up so that you can easily get around. Across the top there are links to your order, Customer Service, Search, Shipping, Shop, Gift Ideas, Our Commitment, Stores and Home.
Over on the left hand side of any page you will find links to all of the products available. Bath Bombs, Bath Products, Bath Salts, Body Butter, Body Scrubs, Face Products, Fresh Cut Soaps, Gift Baskets, Kid's Stuff, Massage Bars, Moisturizers, Shampoo Bars, Soap Trays and Specialty Products. Each link takes you that page and on that page you can read about the items up for sale. You can order from each individual item as well. Very simple to do. The links go from page to page, which makes it easy to shop from item to item.
On the right hand side you can check your cart, update quantities or delete items The shipping and handling is added once you sign up for an account, which is very easy to do. They take major credit cards or gift cards. They even have a link to their new online store called Basin White. On that site you find the same items as above and much more. I have not shopped at Basin White yet so I can not give an honest opinion of it at this time. I do know that http://www.basin.com/ is wonderful!
The products are wonderful Made from natural ingredients and good for the hair and body. The prices range from 4.99 up to 29.00 depending on what you buy. Each item has a link underneath called "details" and you can read more about that product.
The gift baskets are nice and cost 19.99 up to 39.99. You can read about each gift basket on that page and clicking on each one takes you to more information about that particular product. I like this setup because it is just so much easier to read about items than pages being jumbled up with a lot of words.
Shipping
Shipping is available to the 48 contiguous states. All shipments will ship UPS Standard Ground. I paid 6.80 for the 2 products I got. They have an entire page dedicated to the shipping, which includes holiday shipping, U.S. Shipping Processing and Track your Shipment. I suggest reading this page.
How I Feel
http://www.basin.com/ is one of the few online stores that I shop at any more. The prices are not to bad for the products, especially shampoo, which are 6.99 each and last for about 50 shampoos. The massage bars are also great. Soothing, really soothing and makes your skin so very soft. Romantic massage bars I must say.
When I was in the actual store I had the chance to try Basin's body scrubs for the hands, These items were really great. Made my hands very soft. However, they are expensive. I was hoping to find them cheaper on the website but that was not to be. These items run about 26 dollars and up. Are they worth it? Probably, but not for my pocketbook.
I like that I can see what the best sellers are on each page too. And I like being able to get around the site with ease. You can also buy gift certificates right there on the website as well. Gift Certificates are only good at http://www.basin.com/.
I recommend signing up for the newsletter too. This is helpful should they get new products or have something on special.
I also know that the soaps are really reliable. Soft and makes my skin soft (as I mentioned above), but they also come in various designs and shapes. The online store has everything that the Store offered and the prices are the same. I do believe though that the online store will run the same sales as the store or even different sales. I plan on buying these products for some time to come and I am also planning to buy some for Christmas gifts. These are items that I can buy along and along and they will be okay to store until use or gift giving.
If you are planning on going to Disney World in Orlando Florida I highly recommend going to Downtown Disney and into the Basin Store. You can see for yourself the many products they offer and see how they feel and talk with the ladies about them. Then you can go home and go to the online store and order to restock the products you bought at the store. That is what I did and I am glad that I did.
The products smell really great and I know that the shampoos and soaps and bath salts work really well. And I have the chance to buy online and not drive back and forth to Downtown Disney!
I hope that this has helped in some kind of way.
God Bless!
