Spend your furniture dollars elsewhere

Like some others have mentioned, I was drawn in by the catalog. It's a nice piece of work.
So, when we needed some furniture for our office, we decided the give topdeq a try and order a desk.
Remember that the legs are sold separate from the surfaces, so a $165 desk was adding $324 in legs for a total of $485. That's high, but for the right quality it wouldn't be a deal-killer.
But then we hit a snag.
In the process of ordering, they naturally ask where they are going to ship to. And in my region, they only had two desk legs. So, no big deal. They'll just source from another region to fulfill the order, right?
Wrong. The 48-hour delivery commitment became 4-6 weeks.
But I could choose bright orange and get it in 48 hours. Uh-huh. Not the best choice for many offices.
An entire company who markets themselves on free 48 hour delivery, with the correct legs in stock everywhere else in the country, and they wouldn't pull from those warehouses to meet the 48 hour commitment because of cost.
While on hold waiting for a manager to request an override of this policy, I came across these reviews of the quality of their products and their service post-sale - and am so glad that I did.
I thanked the manager and passed.
Thanks for the heads-up you guys.
Looking at the dates of your reviews - just know that nothing's changed there and they're still at it.
