I expected my sister to receive beautiful live flowers that I ordered for. She received flowers that were half dead and she wound up throwing the arrangement away.
Sure the company offered me a credit on a future purchase but I felt they should have done more.
Here is the story. It was my sister's birthday. She lives in New York and I live in Connecticut. I contacted Flowers Direct on line and ordered a week ahead of time so the flowers would arrive on time.
I called my sister on her birthday. She said they delivered the flowers to her at work and thank you for the surprise, but the flowers were dead. They came from the florist in her building through my flowers direct order.
She went down to the florist and complained. I complained also to Flowers Direct. I did get a certificate for other flowers but the florist already ruined my gift to my sister. I suggested Flowers Direct should have some kind of quality control with their associates.
The customer service person I talked with agreed and said they were always reviewing associates. So even though I'm angry at them for not sending my sister fresh flowers, I have to say customer service was apologetic and tried to make it up for the loss.
There are other companies which are more responsible, even if a bit more expensive. I would try them before using Flowers Direct again.
