Spending Time With Someone Is The Best Gift Of All.

The Bottom Line Just remember that sooner or later you will be in the spot where you might need a shoulder to cry on. So try and give a little bit of yourself.
The holidays have become so materialistic that we have forgotten about what it was supposed to be about. This year you might remember all of those that have lost a job or how about the ones that are stuck inside of a hospital room and the fact that they can not get out to celebrate themselves. You can take a moment to look into your loved ones eyes and tell them how much you love them.
There are other ways to tell someone that they are special in your eyes. You can write a poem for them and just spend some time with them on a walk or if it is to cold for that then sit around the fire place snuggling with them and just looking at the flames and watching the flames glisten off of their eyes.
If you are into buying things try and go smaller with more meaning, do not buy a gift just because it was expensive and the biggest one that you can find. Women love to be courted no matter how old they get to be. They still like to get flowers and a card simply saying that you love them. You can also give them a massage or if you can not do that then purchase a certificate for a professional to do it for you. With the prices of everything going up and you are strapped for cash then do what I do and that is start early in the year and put away all of your change and all of those singles that you get you will be surprised how that adds up.
There are other gifts that will keep you hot to trot in your loved ones eyes. You could always use your special talents and take her out and serenade her with a love song as I did on our first date. It did not matter that I was a little off key she still smiled and fell deeper in love with me. You could also surprise your loved one with a gift inside of a gift. If you make a game of it you can give her clues for about a month before Christmas, but make sure that you are so vague about your clues that there is no way she could guess what she is going to be getting. You will drive her crazy with all of the different clues that you are digging up. But, this will keep that twinkle in her eyes and the excitement and holiday spirit alive.
You can also get an inexpensive gift that you can hide right under her nose the best place that I have found to hide a gift is right where she sleeps. A diamond ring might be a bit much but you will always remember the night that she finds her ring. If you plan an exciting dinner or a night time dinner cruise it can be a lot more fun if you keep it a secret until you are walking up to the ship and then tell her that is what the surprise is. I did this and to this day it is a night that she will never forget.
Another nice gift that does not cost a lot is a candle lit bath and very aromatic incense, a nice playing CD in the background always puts the icing on the cake when it comes to a romantic evening during the holidays and it is also a nice way to relieve all of the stress that your wife might have from a rough day at work.
This is just some of the things that I do for my wife to show her that I appreciate her and all the things that she does for me, at Christmas I try and do my extra best to let her know I love her even more. I try and keep her mind off of her losing her dad at this time of year. This is usually the toughest time of the year for a lot of people, so the main thing to do about that is to try and keep their minds occupied with something else and to do that you need to spend time with them and be all the support that you can be.
