I love this new machine I just got! I went from a 400 Mhz G3 to this Imac, and I'm loving every second of it. The movable screen really is a marvel of engineering and creativity. The screen and neck setup make you want to touch and move it, which is finally OK. I can finally touch the screen of my computer without fear of damaging it. The speed is wonderful, and it feels really fast with OSX. The base is nice and solid. When I first saw it I was afraid I'd tip it over, but that's not likely. The monitor has great resolution, even though it's only a 15". I'd prefer a 17", but I'm liking the 15" alright. The only problem I could forsee is upgrading. Although the graphics a really good, so I don't see the need to change out the card, and it's got more storage than I'll ever use up. Ram is acessable below, so I can upgrade that later. I won't EVER hook up a SCSI device, I'm going with USB and Firewire from now on, so I don't need a SCSI card. Honestly, I don't see what I would ever need to upgrade to.
I love the software it comes preloaded with, iPhoto, iTunes, iMovie, plus the regular Apple software bundles. I could have used a couple of free games though. At least solitare! My only other complaint is that Apple needs to realize that nobody like useing a single button mouse anymore. That's just rediculous. Despite the few little complaints, I love this gorgeous new machine.
