I purchased an ATI radion 8500 video board from these guys at a good price (about $210). Little could I tell from their advertising that the board included NOTHING but the board and the software. All the cables, documentation and adapters necessary to use all the features that I paid for were not included. By the time I had purchased the "extras", the package actually cost me MORE than other retailer's price. If you want to buy a fancy video board for a hefty price and use it as an ordinary SVGA card, OK. But if you really want to use this video card for it's intended purpose shop elsewhere. Treat them as "Surplus" dealers as one reviewer suggests. OK, that would be fine if Compuvest would make clear what is included in their "white box" package, but they don't. Not only are there no "frills" (some of the "frills" are necessary to even use the board's features), the only warranty is to return it to them for refund or exchange at your expense with a "restocking fee" regardless of the problem (Do they really just put it back in stock for the next guy if it doesn't work????).
