My Dell 8100 is actually a refurbished model, 1.6 Ghz P4, 384 RDRAM, 40gig HD, all the basic stuff. It runs like tha wind! I have had no trouble with this computer (except when I tried to burn a CD in my CR-Rom drive)since I first purchased it. I had to install a firewire card, but that was a breeze, just pull apart, pop it in and go! A breeze compared to my brother's HP. Only problem I had was with the monitor. For some reason, when I put it on max. contrast it displayed yellow shadows to the right of the scrollbars. This thing runs all the latest 3D games with room to spare. When I get my next computer, I'm getting a dell. :D
