Pros: Looks good.
Cons: Did not work.
The Bottom Line: Artec is a good company and this should have been a good drive, but based on my experience, I can not recommend the CD-Writer.

I have an Artec scanner that I would recommend to anyone, so I bought an Artec DVD-ROM that is also very good. When I found the Artec CD-Writer 24x-10x-40x I didn't hesitate to buy one.
The drive installed easy and had the clean OEM look that I wanted to maintain. The system recognized the drive and I installed the software. That is where the fun stopped. The drive would freeze, would not access, read or write CD media. Support was very helpful, but nothing worked. It would read when running Linux, but still would not write. I finally replaced the drive.
